Why people assume languages!?
I'm a Vietnamese int, but sometimes I get calls from clients that assume I can speak Cantonese, because the LEP is Vietnamese and speak Cantonese! NO! Not every Vietnam person can speaking Cantonese! OMG! this driveing me crazy!
Anyone having same experience?
i guess it all depends on how others are familiar with your culture, I dont think they did it for convenience but just not sure about your culture
I agree with Yana, it all boils down to how familiar people are with our culture. To be fair, we can't expect others to know our culture, like how much understanding do we understand other cultures? I guess it is also challenging when a country has a multicultural society.
